The story of this organization starts with Aaron Burr, who was the third vice president in the United States and the founder of the Manhattan Company. The largest shareholders of Chase National Bank were the Rockefellers from 1799 to 1955, when it was called the bank of the Manhattan Company. After a merger with the Chase National Bank, it became the Chase Manhattan Bank. The Chase National Bank acquired a number of smaller banks through the 1920s and has grown considerably since then. The organization provides various banking services including consumer lending, small business loans, consumer banking, investment banking, small business banking, and much more.

J.P. Morgan Chase Bank has more than 5000 branches and more than three times that many ATMs throughout the United States. They are one of the big four banks in the United States and they also operate outside of the country in more than 100 different nations. Their assets were estimated at $2.49 trillion in 2018 and at that time, they had more than 250,000 people working for them. As of 2017, they reported revenue of $99.48 billion with revenue per share at $28.62.
