Citi

Citi or Citigroup is an investment bank and financial services company located in the United States with its headquarters in New York City. They are the third largest bank in the United States, joining a list that includes J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo, collectively known as the "big four". Citi employee over 209,000 people, most of whom are located within the United States. Before the 2008 financial crisis, Citi employed 357,000 people. Positions include investment managers, commercial bank representatives, customer service representatives, bank tellers, loan officers, account representatives, security, IT, and cyber security positions, as well as corporate leadership.

Citigroup formed on October 8, 1998, after the $140 billion merger of Citicorp and Travelers Group, which created the world's largest financial services organization at the time. Citigroup has over 200 million customer accounts and you can find them in more than 160 countries. Their products include credit services, consumer finance, brokerage, insurance, credit cards, lines of business credit, consumer banking and much more. They also do financial analysis and retail banking as well as investment banking. The history of the company can be traced all the way back to 1812 when it was founded as the City Bank of New York.

As of 2018, Citigroup holds the number 32 spot on the Fortune 500 with over 200 million customer accounts and business in more than 160 countries. They reported 2017 earnings of $64.8 billion with revenue per share at $24.98.
