Cox Enterprises is a private media conglomerate that is based in Atlanta, Georgia. However, not only does the company have major media interest, it is also an automotive services company. Newspapers, radio stations, television stations, and cable companies all make up the Cox Enterprises conglomerate. The company had more than 60,000 employees as of 2016, and employment opportunities include things like client operations, detailers, account executives, Senior software engineers, client services reps, machinists, document agents, drivers, digital strategists and call center workers.

James M. Cox is the founder of this company, which started in Dayton, Ohio, in 1898, with the purchase of the Dayton Daily News. Cox would later become a candidate for President of the United States in 1920, eventually losing, but on a ticket that included Franklin Delano Roosevelt as vice presidential candidate. Cox Enterprises now has subsidiaries that include Cox Communications, Cox Media Group, and Cox Automotive. The products that they currently offer include automotive services, mass media fare, and telecommunication services. Most recently, they formed an alliance with the Cleveland Clinic to do what they called "taking healthcare to the home."

Cox Media Group currently has over 100 digital service in addition to operating broadcast television stations and newspapers. They also offer residential Internet service. Under their automotive division, they have a variety of companies including Manheim, Dealer-Auction Ltd, Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, vAuto, Dealer.com, Dealertrack, HomeNet Automotive, and NextGear Capital. They are private company that has had one recent investment round which totaled $1.7 million with the investor unknown. This funding came from a seed round that was held on December 15, 2014.
