Their corporate headquarters are located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and not only do they provide delivery services all across the United States, but they also do truck sales. Some of the companies that they work with are very well-known in include Caterpillar, Coca-Cola, Daisy brand, General Mills, Kawasaki, Miller Coors, ConAgra and the Home Depot. Like any trucking company, they are almost always hiring for drivers. Freight types include dry vans, flatbeds and refrigerated. They hire both company drivers and owner operators for all three of their separate companies. There are also a limited number of corporate positions as well.
The company history stretches back to 1966 when the Crete carrier Corporation was founded. They began with a simple operation, carrying output dog food with just six trailers. However, by 1971, they had been purchased by Dewayne and Phyllis Acklie. In 1973, they relocated to where their current headquarters are in made a number of acquisitions over the years including Schaffer Trucking out of Pennsylvania, Sunflower Carriers in 1979 and Hill Truck Lines in 1987. In 1999, the company acquired the well-known trucking company hunt transportation which added both flatbed and specialized freight to their operations. Today, there are more than 5000 tractors and 13,000 trailers on the road through Crete Carrier Corporation. They are one of the largest trucking companies in the world.
The company operates exclusively within the United States and has operations in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
