DowDuPont is a new company, which formed as a merger of the Dow Chemical Company and DuPont. The new company formed on August 31, 2017. DowDupont is now the largest chemical company in the world in terms of sales. However, pending board approval, DowDuPoint plans to split into three different publicly traded companies. The names of the three companies will be Corteva Agriscience, Dow, and DuPont and the new companies will focus on the agriculture division, the material science division, and the specialty products division, respectively. As of 2017, DowDuPont had over 98,000 employees. The company began on November 11, 2015, when DuPont announced a merger with Dow Chemical. It would be an all-stock transaction and the combined company would be called DowDuPont. The estimated value of the company was $130 billion, and it would be held equally by the shareholders of both companies. The deal closed on August 31, 2017. Some of the products that these companies are well known for include DuPont's seat in crop protection, Dow's performance materials, Dow's plastics, as well as materials, chemicals, infrastructure, consumer solutions.

Both Dow and DuPont have been around for a long time, so the merged company is present in many locations around the world. This is a public traded company and they reported $81.18 billion in revenue during the 2017 fiscal year with revenue per share reported at $38.06. They also had terrific revenue growth at 75.3 percent.
