About DPReview
dpreview.com, also known as DPReview or Digital Photography Review, is a website that focuses on digital cameras and photography. The website was started in 1998 and provides reviews of different cameras and camera accessories. It's also a hub for photography forums and general information about different photography technologies. The DPReview has a smaller staff, made up of just over a dozen employees, and the employment opportunities include editorial positions, software development positions, and creative positions.
Digital Photography Review was started by Phil and Joanna Askey in December of 1998. It was originally based in the UK, but moved to Seattle, Washington, in 2010. Amazon acquired DPReview in 2007. At that time, the site had over 7 million unique users on a monthly basis. Since its beginning, DPReview has provided technical reviews of digital cameras, but the site also introduced reviews of camera lenses in 2008 and has added reviews of printers and photography software. In addition to these reviews, the site publishes articles that focus on the science and technology behind photography, interviews with photographers or others in the imaging field, and buying guides.
