They have 2.4 trillion transactions per year, which comes out to be more than 3000 per second. The company provides the Star Network which is the most prevalent payment acceptance program in the nation. It is available at more than two million point-of-sale, ATM, and online outlets. As of 2017, the company had over 22,000 employees. The company began in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1971. First Data Corporation became the name of the company in April 1989. They also reported quarterly revenue growth at 10.3 percent.
