Flex Limited, previously known as Flextronics International Limited, is one of the largest global electronics manufacturing services in the world. In fact, it is the third for electronics manufacturing services and original design manufacturer services by revenue behind just two companies, including Pegatron in Taiwan. The company has headquarters in Singapore, but they also have an administrative office that is located in San Jose, California. They have manufacturing facilities all over the world and have approximately 200,000 employees. The company began in 1969 in Silicon Valley. Originally, it was called Flextronics Incorporated. Joe McKenzie was the founder of the company. However, in 1980, McKenzie sold the company to Joe Sullivan, Jack Watts and Bob Todd. In 1981, the three owners went public but it returned to a private organization just one year later in a leveraged buyout. The company was renamed Flextronics International Limited and moved to Singapore.
