KinderCare Education

KinderCare, which used to be Knowledge Universe, is a private education provider that has been around for over two decades. Today, it is one of the largest private companies in Oregon and one of the biggest employers in the St. Paul metropolitan area. St. Paul is also where the headquarters for KinderCare is, with executive leadership located at the Portland National Support Center for KinderCare Education. KinderCare has over 5,000 employees across the US. Some of the KinderCare employment opportunities include infant toddler teachers, center staff, assistant teachers, lead teachers, and more.

Michael and Lowell Milken founded the company in 1998 when the Knowledge Universe Learning Group acquired the Children's Discovery Centers. The company started Knowledge Beginnings in 1999. In 2003, the company was renamed and acquired Aramark Educational Resources. This acquisition added over 700 learning centers and a number of before- and after-school programs. KinderCare has a number of programs that are sorted by age, including infant day care in early education, toddler daycare in early education, discovery preschool education, prekindergarten programs, traditional kindergarten, and interactive kindergarten.

KinderCare Education is the parent company of several different operations that can be found throughout the United States. These operations include KinderCare Knowledge, Beginnings, Children's Creative Learning Centers, and Champions.
