L Brands

L Brands is one of the best-known brands within the United States due to their flagship product Victoria's Secret. The former name of the company was Limited Brands Incorporated or the Limited Incorporated. They are an American fashion retailer with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. They own both Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works, both of which are well-known brands within the United States. L Brands also owns Henri Bendel, Pink, and La Senza. They are publicly traded company and in 2018 were 231 on the Fortune 500 list. They have over 55,000 employees and some of the employment opportunities include sales support, experience managers, sellers and sales specialists, brand operations supervisors, in-store sales associates, and more.

The company was founded by Bella Cabakoff in Columbus, Ohio, after she become a buyer for the Lazarus department store chain. She and her husband had worked for Lazarus for over 20 years and finally decided to open their own store called Leslie's, which was the name of their son. In 1963, Leslie got additional financing and expanded the store to a new location at the Kingsdale shopping Center in Arlington, Ohio. He called his store The Limited because it was targeting young people instead of the general clothing sold by his parent's store. The store became so successful that Bella and her husband decided to close their own store and join their son in his efforts. Today, products include clothing, fashion, and accessories.

L Brands has since expanded internationally, with Victoria's Secret stores moving outside the United States in 2012. The first was located within the United Kingdom, but they are now in cities all over the world. L Brands is a publicly traded company that reported $13.05 billion in revenue for the 2017 fiscal year with $46.61 in revenue per share. They showed 8.3 percent quarterly revenue growth.
