Regions Bank

Regions is an American bank and financial services company that has its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. The company serves both the consumer and commercial marketplace with several different products. The parent company is Regions Financial Corporation with regions Bank as a subsidiary underneath. At last count in 2016, there were more than 1900 ATMs and more than 1500 bank branches within the United States. Regions was on the Fortune 500 list at number 436 in 2017 and is one of the largest banks in the United States. The company employs over 21,000 people as of 2017 and some of the employment opportunities include financial relationship consultants, data scientists consultants, financial relationship specialists, branch managers, wealth advisors, team leaders in financial relationship consulting, and much more.

The company was founded on July 13, 1971, as the Regions Financial Corporation. Previously, it had been another Alabama bank that then merged with the First National Bank of Montgomery, the First National Bank of Huntsville, and the Exchange Security Bank of Birmingham. These banks operated independently until 1985 when the merger was formalized. Regions products include things like commercial banking, consumer banking, retail banking, mortgage banking, investment banking, and asset management and insurance.

Regions banks are available in several states including Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, Arkansas, and Louisiana, but are not available outside of the United States. The company has its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, and they sponsor Regions Field, which is a minor league baseball stadium in Birmingham. They are a publicly traded company that reported $5.82 billion in revenue as of the 2017 fiscal year. That came out to be $5.08 in revenue per share with a gross profit of $5.57 billion. They also showed positive quarterly revenue growth at 3.7 percent and quarterly earnings growth of 18.7 percent.
