Securitas

Securitas is a security services company that operates within the United States and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. They do security guarding, mobile patrolling, video feed monitoring, consulting, investigations, and more. Securitas has more than 300,000 employees that are spread out over 53 countries worldwide.

Securitas also owns and operates the Swiss security company Protectas AG. The exact number of employees reported in 2016 was 335,945. Most of these employees are security guards but the company does offer additional employment opportunities in management, corporate strategy, cyber security, information technology and more.

The company was founded in 1934 in Helsingborg, Sweden by Erik Philip-Sorensen under the name Helsingborgs Nattvakt. The company began to expand through the acquisitions of several smaller security firms with the first ones grabbed up in southern Sweden. In 1949, they expanded into alarms and security technology and then began expanding internationally. By the early 1970s, the group was rebranded with their current name. Products include security services including guarding and mobile patrolling, monitoring, consultation and investigation.

This is a multinational company that is also publicly traded, and during the 2017 fiscal year they reported earnings of $95.5 billion. That came out to be $261.59 worth of revenue per share and the reported quarterly revenue growth of 10 point six percent with gross profit of $16.2 billion. The quarterly earnings growth were nearly double the quarterly revenue growth.
