Taco Bell

Taco Bell is one of the largest fast food chains in the United States and one of the leading fast food chains in Mexican food. Their headquarters are in Irvine, California and they are a subsidiary of Yum! Brands Incorporated. As of 2018, Taco Bell had served more than 2 billion customers at their 7000 locations. Most of these locations are independent franchises. Taco Bell has more than 25,000 employees according to LinkedIn, but with more than 7000 locations as of 2015, it is likely that they employ many more, including their corporate offices. Most of the employment opportunities available within Taco Bell include entry-level fast food positions such as cooks, taco makers, drive through attendance, cashiers and more. However, they do have management positions for those that are qualified, as well as a small number of corporate positions.

Taco Bell was founded by Glenn Bell in 1950 as Bell's Drive-In. Originally, this store was located in San Bernardino, California, and sold hot dogs. Eventually, after seeing how popular Mexican food was that was being sold out of food trucks, Bell decided to change his product line and began creating recipes that would be the basis for the Taco Bell restaurants currently in existence today. Bell had a number of restaurants in Southern California, including El Taco restaurants, and eventually sold the first franchise to a retired police officer in 1964.

Taco Bell has since expanded into Asia, including shops in Tokyo, and launched in the Chinese market in 2015. They have two locations in Seoul, South Korea, and various other international locations. As of 2015, it was estimated that Taco Bell had revenue of $1.98 billion.
