The Home Depot Inc. is an American home improvement and supply store that sells all kinds of construction equipment and products needed for home improvement; including services. The headquarters can be found in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Atlanta Store Support Center. In 2017, the Home Depot had approximately 400,000 employees including their subsidiary Interline Brands. There are a number of employment opportunities are available at Home Depot stores as well as in corporate offices and support centers. Some of the other positions may include maintenance, sales, strategy, design, merchandising, and more.

The Home Depot was cofounded by Arthur Blank, Bernard Marcus, Ron Brill, and Pat Farrah in 1978. Even back then, the vision was to build home improvement superstores that had everything that their competitors were lacking as well as facilities that far exceeded what customers were getting in their local hardware stores. Products offered by Home Depot include appliances, tools, lumber, building materials, paint, plumbing supplies, flooring, garden supplies and hardware.

The Home Depot does operate outside of the United States, but only in limited areas. They may be found in Canada, Mexico, China, South America, and the United Kingdom. The Canadian unit of Home Depot is called the Home Depot Canada and it employs more than 28,000 people in that country. Home Depot Canada has stores in all of the Canadian provinces with the head office located in Toronto. Home Depot is a public company, and in 2017 they reported a total revenue of $104.3 billion with the revenue per share of $90.20.
