About Tyco Integrated Security
Tyco Integrated Security, or TycoIS, was a division of Tyco International that provided electronic security products and services related to those products including installation and support. It merged with Johnson Controls in 2016. The headquarters of Tyco IS are located in Boca Raton, Florida, with other secondary headquarters in Ontario. All of their offices are in North America, spread throughout the United States and Canada almost exclusively. Johnson Controls has over 120,000 employees located around the world, and an estimated 24,000 employees work for the Tyco system. This company can trace the roots all the way back to 1874 when dozens of different telegraph delivery companies became known as the American District Telegraph. That name was abbreviated to ADT later on. In 1997, Tyco merged with the smaller security services company called ADT Limited. This allowed Tyco International Limited to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of ADT Limited in a new subsidiary called ADT Security Services was created out of that merger. In 2011, the company split into three different companies with one of them being Tyco Integrated Security. Services include security products, security integration, various security services including installation and more.
Although Tyco is based in the United States, Johnson Controls provides services in over 150 countries. Almost all of their offices are located within the United States and Canada, but there are a few other offices as well. Johnson Controls is a publicly traded company that reported $30.17 billion in revenue as of the 2017 fiscal year with revenue per share reported at $33.62. They showed positive quarterly revenue growth at 5.7 percent and positive quarterly earnings growth at 30.3 percent.
